Shingles Causes - Shingles Skin Disorder
The shingles skin disorder is a skin disorder, like a rash and blisters, that is on the skin on a certain area of the body. The virus that causes the shingles is actually the same virus that brings on the chickenpox, which is called the varicella zoster virus. This shingles skin disorder can become quite annoying and painful, which is very irritating. Scars of where the blisters were may even remain after your case of shinmgles has gone. However, the shingles, hwich is caused by the varicella zoster virus, does only affect approximately 1 in 4 people, which leaves 75% of people shingle free in their life. The shingles virus generally last for a few weeks, but even up to months. Shingles is much more common in adults than it is in children. This is because the varicella zoster attacks a weaker immune system, which occurs under stress and fatigue, two common characteristics of the adult population.
Shingles has a wide variety of causes. The main causes are a weak immune system as well as high stress levels (emotional and physical) and fatigue. Therefore, to avoid shingles, it is best to combat these causes as best as you can. Other causes can be those such as a weakened area of skin due to injury. Under conditions such as a weak immune system, the varicella zoster will “come out” again and bring about an outbreak of shingles.
There is currently also a vaccine that helps prevent the shingles which can be undertaken by those over 60 years of ago. Shingles is in fact most common in this age group, so it is well targeted. Treatment creams are also available to help ease some of the pain associated with having a case of the shingles.
